The EDGE is an authentic Christian community, living out the
tension of being culturally relevant and theologically
sound, driven by the gospel of Jesus Christ to love
our Lord, our neighbors, and our fellow Christians.

Our Values:

We serve an Infinite God:  We believe that God is the epitome of all things good, and that we are created in His image to live in fellowship with Him.  Because we are broken and flawed, we believe that God allowed His Son, Jesus, to restore us through His death and resurrection, and, thus we seek to be a reflection of God’s grace, mercy and love.   We achieve this by being driven by prayer and dependence on the Holy Spirit and having a predominant spirit of surrender to His will.  Ps 113:4-6

 

We surrender to Biblical Authority:  We believe that God is the author of the Bible and that scripture is true, timeless and relevant.  We believe that we are called to know God through the Bible, and we seek to continuously study scripture.  We believe that Scripture has real and practical relevance to our daily lives.  Col 3:16, I Tim 4:13

 

We strive for Authentic Community:  People are welcome here no matter where they are on their spiritual journeys.  Building lasting, Christ-centered relationships requires sacrificial giving of ourselves and our resources.  A Spirit led environment is critical for us to guide, mentor and disciple one another.  Repentance, and surrender to God moves us towards restoration.  Jn 13:34, I Jn 3:11

 

We grow Fervent Disciples:  We as Christians are disciples - believers who are learning and changing to be more like Jesus – therefore, we need to live like Jesus.   We also need to teach what that means, so we will offer courses, networking, relationships, and community as a context for continuous discipleship.  When appropriate, we will encourage Christians to partake in discipleship opportunities at other churches or through outside organizations thereby blessing all.  Jn 8:31

 

We commit to Community Outreach:  We will serve the unchurched in order to reach them for Jesus Christ. This is part of our tapestry and requires cultural relevance and connections to people as they are and where they are. When a choice is made between serving needs on the inside or reaching out to others, we are committed to advancing the Kingdom. This is done to fulfill our purpose to make more disciples for Jesus Christ.  Mt 25:35-45

 

We support Local and Global Missions: We see The EDGE as a ministry, as something far greater than our community.  We want to impact other followers of Jesus both locally and globally by committing to raising up leaders and ministries within and sacrificially giving outside ministries many of the blessings God has given to us.  This is done by equipping leaders, starting new ministries, starting new churches, encouraging hurting churches, sharing what we have learned, learning from others, sending missionaries and much more. We rejoice and are humbled when God allows us to participate in what He is doing in His Kingdom.  Mt 28:19, Mark 16:15

We exemplify Future Faith:  Our faith for the future is generated by trust in Jesus Christ.   We believe that commitment to living out our values -- Infinite God, Biblical Authority, Authentic Community, Fervent Disciples, Community Outreach, and Local and Global Missions -- will supernaturally produce a healthy, growing, forward moving, faithful church that will reach the unchurched around the world.  Phil 1:6, Eph 1:18
